Music:

Oh wow, this has it's own catagory. That's cool but if I got started on this I'd never stop. I was raised on Funk and Jazz just as heavily as I was raised on Blues and Rock.
I however, was raised in the city so Hip-Hop played just as big of part in my life as anything else. Maybe even a little more. That wound up becoming a culture to me, not just a music. Same thing with Jazz...It grew. . .But I love music in general.
I play the Guitar, Bass, Drums, Turntables, I sing a little bit although I prefer not to. I'm an M.C. and a poet. . .
Pretty much if it has to do with music I can do it.
I'm not big on country. It actually gets me angry after a while. No offense to anyone who digs it (*cough-Jamie-cough*). . .It's just not my thing.
So uh.. Who do I like? Shit, Brase yo'self. . .
Hendrix, Zepplin, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Slipknot, System Of A Down, Mos Def, KRS-One, older Busta Rhymes, Leaders Of The New School, Tribe, Run DMC, PRIMUS, Tool, Wu-Tang, Beastie Boys, Tortoise, The Meters, Dave Mathews Band, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Aretha Franklin, Shaka Khan, Lenny Kravitz, The Mars Volta. . .
Is that good enough cuz I feel like I'm boring you. But anyway, yea I like alot of people and styles. I like-it-alot! Music is Life!

Movies:

The funnier the better! ! ! Horror's cool but I can only watch the same kinda plots and shit only so often. . . It's all the same. Drama's aight but it has to be done right. . .(Armageddon, Finding Forrester, The Notebook. . .ya know) and just about any cartoon kicks large amounts of ass!

Television:

Cartoons? ? Yes please! !
Huge Family Guy fan. I also dig on. . . The Simpsons, Looney Tunes, Futurama, Saturday Night Live, Who's line Is It Anyway, and I love Def Poetry. . .
My T.V.'s usually on Comedy Central, Cartoon Network or there's music or something on it.
I also like Biography's and shit that enilightens and/or enspires me. National Geographic, Discovery, Science . . . Yadda, yadda, yadda. . . I'm a big geek! !

Books:

I'm reading a book now that's slowly changing my life... It's called "A New Earth: Awakening To Your Life's Purpose" by Eckhart Tolle.... I STRONGLY recommend it...
Other then that... Uh. . .Yea. . .No really I'm big on reading. . . Really. . .
Ok well not really. I'm not anymore but I was at one point.
To tell you the truth My favorite book was "Where The Red Fern Grows". I loved it. Sorry, I just dug it. I loved Shakespere too.
I also for some strange reason used to have this habbit where I would randomly pick up dictionaries and read them like they were normal books, and then I'd go back and see how much I could remember.
Nowadays I don't really have the time or the patience to pick up a book and enjoy. I wish I did though. I could use the increase in my general knowledge.
I was way ahead of my time once, but now, time has more then passed me by.
I dunno, It just seems too bland and monotonous to me now, to just sit and read.
If I'm sitting for too long I get antsy cuz I feel like I'm missing something somewhere.
So now I'm always trying to find ways to get out and do things instead of staying in.

Heroes:

Heroes? I have many. . .
Tony Williams
(Jazz drummer and cousin).
Following him, my Uncle Leo's gotta be the biggest and foremost. . .
He went and volunteered to fuck up his Psyche until he was mentally able to go hold down the frontline and put foot to ass in other countries. . .
He's seen a lot and risked even more. . .
You're a hell of a man Leo, I love you!!!!
---------and from there---------
In no particular order. . . Langston Hughes, MOS DEF, KRS-One, Bruce Lee, Jimi Hendrix, Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman, Miles Davis, Muhammad Ali A.k.A. Casius Clay, Michael Jordan, Dr. J, Magic Johnson, John Bonham (Led Zepplin's drummer), Les Claypool (bass player for PRIMUS), Richard Pryor. . .
There's more but you should have a good jist of who I am by now so I'm gonna stop here. Any questions just ask. . . :)

Life Without Her . . . (Her 2nd Blog)

The title is somewhat of an oxymoron I guess... Because life without her isn't a life at all. I wouldn't trade a billion Washingtons for my 1 D.C. At one point in time there was me, myself and I. I on...
