I am here for Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

"Ohana" Part of Hawaiian culture, ohana means family in an extended sense of the term including both blood-related or extended. It emphasizes that family and friends are bound together and members must cooperate and remember one another... width="425" height="350" ....

My Interests

Messing about with boats. Working with wood. Communication. Philosophy of religion...as in "why?" The Underdog.

I'd like to meet:

Truth seekers. People who question the validity of adults clinging to imaginary friends. People who take care of themselves and others. People who laugh, who make me laugh. “Imagine the people who believe such things and who are not ashamed to ignore, totally, all the patient findings of thinking minds through all the centures since the Bible was written. And it is these ignorant people, the most uneducated, the most unimaginative, the most unthinking among us, who would make themselves the guides and leaders of us all; who would force their feeble and childish beliefs on us; who would invade our schools and libraries and homes. I personally resent it bitterly.”–Isaac Asimov

Music:

Martin G. Walker, Greydon Square, Billy Bragg, Great Big Sea, Elvis Costello, Queen, David Essex, The Clash, Elton John (not the Disney stuff!) Stiff Little Fingers, Jimmy Buffet, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Alanis Morrisette, Melissa Etheridge, Meri Wilson, Livingston Taylor, Andrea Bocelli, Diana Krall.

Movies:

Life of Brian, Defending your life, Lion in Winter Practical Magic, Shirley Valentine, Lady Hawk, Wedding Date, Innocence, The Desk Set.A Childs Christmas in Wales.

Television:

Don't want one. I got addicted to the telly so I choose not to have one. I do have a 'video viewing box' for films.

Books:

The Little Prince, Silas Marner. Sam Harris' books. Stranger in a Strange Land. Peter Robinson's mystery books. "Lamb" by Christopher Moore.

Heroes:

My boys and Melissa. It is tough growing up now-a-days with all the media input telling them how to live and trying to make them all the same. They are unique and on their ways to being really neat adults. Mel is a remarkable woman who has more strength at 21 then I have ever had. She is also a natural mum, wonderful lil' sister and friend. All who choose reason over religion and peace over war.

My Blog

Life is good!

It really is good at the moment, full but good.  Melissa (my young cousin who has joined our household and is 7 months pregnant) just got a photo of the ultra sound she had last week.  "Moos...
