About Me

I am an eccentric. One of a dying breed that is not ruled by the television.....unless you are talking about the band......I actually enjoy reading what others consider dull and dry critical theory. I indulge in the opportunity to play someone other than myself, and I find that few people really know me very well. I can have in depth conversations about epistemology, existentialism and the avant garde and seem to keep up with many people vastly older than myself. My interests in obsure music and sound expirements, theater and performance art, and philosophy keep me deep in constant research. I have a less relcusive side as well which consists of video projects, and my commercial art work. I am currently on leave from my music but am starting to get the itch to return to it.

Music:

I like a little bit of everything up to the early 80's.....then I loose interest for the most part. I love the early 70's glam scene....Bowie, Roxy Music, The New York Dolls,ect. and the early punk scene....Television, The Stooges, the Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, The Ramones, Blondie, ect. I like the early electronic composers like Edgar Varese, Vladmir Ussechevske, Morton Subotnik ect. (i'm not checking my spelling here) and really have been getting into Brian Eno's ambient work.....I love to read to it......other than these.....I do enjoy ol' standards like the Rolling Stones, The Faces, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Motorhead, Creedance Clearwater, The Yardbirds,The Who,ect. and some various other bands like.....Can, Hawkwind, Gong, Tortise, EAR, The Thirteenth Floor Evevators, and I really get into early 40's and 50's hillbilly and honky tonk....a la...Johnny Horton, Warren Smith......Blues.....Howlin' Wolf, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, ......Jazz.....Dizzy Gilespie, John Coltrain, Sun Ra, Fats Navarro.......so I guess I like a wide variety.

I love the early shorts of Jan Svankmier, the Cabinent of Dr. Calgari, Citizen Kane, Star Spangled to Death, Fritz Lang's stuff, I love the Resident's videos, and some other less obscure movies too.....like.....The Life Aquatic, I Heart Huckabee's, Wallace and Gromit, the South Park Movie......and others....
