Coming from the South Side of Town Rameses is more than just a rapper from South London. Hes an entertainer with a lot to say. His word play and combination of simple bars and complicated metaphores makes him appealing to the Underground scene and the commercial World.
Sick and tired of the countless MC's from East and North London breaking through, Rameses is looking to put the South back on top of the game. His harsh views on Grime music, its artists and the way they deliver will most likely make him public enemy number 1, but the bigger picture is to break the US. Aware that rappers rarely make any big movements in the UK with the exception of British born S.A.S. and Sway, he knows that his journey will be a long and hard one with many twists and turns along the way.
Born July 2nd, 1985...a Cancer in the Horoscopes and an Ox in the Chinese World...an entertainer was born. Growing up as a child Rameses always had a smile on his face and something to say. Reading newspapers at the age of 7 he was smart for his age and this continued throughout his childhood. But his outgoing personality as a child would catch up with him as he went into schooling.
'8 years, 10 schools, what you think this is a joke ting?, teachers thought I was crazy, all had me sitting in counselling'....he explains in a track about his life. He was certainly a child who wanted to ne heard and known and that was the case throught his younger years in education. Kingsdale, Dunraven, Reay, St. Helens, The Abeng, Fivebridges, Norwood Centre, Loughborough the 8 places he was talking about. During these times countless battles. He was a bully, accused of bullying, suspended for being in possession of a knife to name a few of the reasons for difficult education. All the time the message from the teachers was the same, so much potential but no discipline.
Rameses started to rhyme from the age of 13, just noting down lyrics from songs he heard and playing with them to incorparate his name when he could. Then at the age of 15 he started writing lyrics in his own words. Battle lyrics mainly, and songs about torturing those who he never liked. His mum was worried by this and took away his rhymes book. With this he never wrote again for a few years before picking up the pen again in 2003.
Rameses started rhyming and recorded for the first time. It was evident that he could stand tall against anyone even at the age of 16. He was on tracks with artists 25+ and never sounded out of place constantly taking the spotlight.
Theres a lot missed out in between but this was just a brief insight into Rameses the artist and the man behind him. The year is now 2007 and Rameses has had enough of weak MC's messing up the game. His long overdue berth into the game has now arrived and the mixtapes and albums are being recorded as we speak. Theres gonna be controversy, theres gonna be love, theres gonna be hate, but most of all....theres gonna be entertainment.
I introduce to you....LC
