The photo's scrolling above are of my new little boy, Shane Robert Roosevelt. He was born on May 18, 2007 and my wife and I are going through the process of adoption for a second time. I can say that although still very scary, this situation has been a much better experience than the first (if you're interested in reading about the first situation, click on my blog's and you'll see the post).The birthmom is a wonderful 20 year old young lady who has been totally on board with this from day one and has made this scary time for my wife and I somewhat less stressful. We've attempted to do the same for her and hope that we have been successful in showing her how much we love him and that our entire lives revolved around his needs and desires. Everyday we wake up and thank God for his addition to our family and thank God for her unselfishness and maturity to allow us to adopt her biological child.My wife Lakeisha and I are very excited about the next few months and years down the line as we continue to progress towards adoption finalization. THE WIRE IS THE GREATEST SHOW EVER. I USED TO LOVE SEINFELD UNTIL THAT IDIOT (KRAMER) DECIDED HE'D LET THE WORLD KNOW HOW HE REALLY FELT ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE. BUT "24" & "LOST" ARE DEFINITELY ON THE MUST SEE LIST EVERY WEEK.

NO SUCH THINGS AS HERO'S, THEY ONLY EXIST IN COMIC BOOKS AND MOVIES. THERE ARE EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO DESERVE RESPECT, BUT HERO IS TOO STRONG A WORD FOR ANY ONE PERSON.
