Jeff Healey, March 26 1966-March 2, 2008
RIP Jeff.
Ken Tizzard ( The Watchmen, Thornley ). Recently, I had an opportunity to visit with friend Ken in Blue Rodeo's studio as he was recording his second solo CD 'Lost in Awe'. John Whynot had come up from L.A. to record and mix and I shot some photos of the session. Ken Tizzard's Site
ImagoZine's 'LET THEM EAT CAKE' Counter-culture fashion show: check out the 'pics' at ImagoZine
More Thornley: This one from The CASBY awards in Toronto; song: 'Come Again' .
Here's another Thornley clip. Ian had invited Kraig Nienhuis of the Boston Bruins up on stage to sing 'Blown Wide Open' with him. Kraig sure can sing, too bad the audio is so bad - I had tried to take the audio off the board, but something went wrong and I had to use what was on the camera:
The first music video I wrote, shot and edited is on YouTube. The band is 'Lifted', the tune 'Carried Away'; the stunningly beautiful model is Genevieve Dunn (born for the Big Screen):
Another of my videos on YouTube; band: amazing Canadian Rockers 'Thornley'; this is a 3 camera shoot, Boxing Day 2004 at The Docks, Toronto Ontario (go see these guys when they are in your area - you are going to LOVE them): - SUM41 -
Jan 21: I posted pics from the Feb 14/05 Sum41 concert in Barrie, Ontario, Canada to my www.mannequinmedia.com site; Click here for the pics

Nov 13: I just spent a couple of days on the road with Three Days Grace, T.O.A.D, Mobile and Idle Sons and will post some pics as soon as I can get to sorting out who’s posting what. In the interim, I did have a few left from the 3DG/TDG Aug 3, 2006 performance @ The Phoenix that I didn’t get around to posting until now (I added them to the existing Phoenix album) - BTW, if you haven't seen this show with all 4 bands, you don't know what you're missing! : ClickMe
'DEFAULT' Oct/06: pics I took back in March up on my site @ MannequinMedia .):
Censored PhotoWell, you see the blueish photo at the top left, the PLASTIC mannequin? It was deleted by MySpace administrators Oct 5, 2006 - quoting from their message, in part:
'We can't have certain kinds of pics (nude/sexually suggestive photos, violent images, etc.) on the site'. I have no doubt, that this was reactive to a complaint by somebody. So, it was I who put the red 'tape' across the plastic breast and re-loaded the photo.
I have had many appreciative comments regarding that photo over the years (it's been on mannequinmedia.com for ages) and not once did anyone bring up the fact that it's nude.
So much a sign of our times that Neanderthalean sports like boxing and wrestling (not the real wrestling) are deemed socially acceptable, yet an image depicting a nude body (or, in my case, a nude plastic mannequin) is not. When I was a teenager walking to high-school, every day I passed a bronze life-size statue of a nude, young girl. I admired that statue, but in all the times I passed it, not once do I recall thinking anything other than for it's beauty and I'm sure most intact other people didn't either – I would suggest that those who behold such depictions of the human body and whose thoughts immediately turn to sex have some serious issues to deal with and should maybe seek help or return to skinning rabbits, tracking UFO's and lying prostate at the feet of George 'W'.
For those intelligent enough to understand the difference, beware of what's going on out there, things are changing for the worse. Social evils should not be confused with the pursuit of true beauty.
My high-school was in Switzerland, not in my home country of Canada. Not sure what would happen here in Canada today: if it were an old statue, it would probably be deemed art, if new, maybe pornography.
Somebody please help us all
