Barrie’s own Imago Boutique and Zine presents Jeffree Star-Queen of the internet- and a fashion show as unique as the models in it. This event features underground fashion from Toxic Vision and Nervous Breakthrough, do-it-yourself designers styled by Sandra Roberts, Imago’s brain child. ‘Miss Mannequin’ aims to bring awareness to an ever growing new age of expression featuring a one of a kind pop culture personality making his mark. Working in close collaboration with Barrie’s independent fashion community to create an amazing visually driven event. With the buzz generated from this phenomenal event, ‘Miss Mannequin’ endeavors to foster independent music and fashion creativity both locally and internationally. ‘Miss Mannequin’ promotes models, make-up artists, photographers, D.J.’s, hair stylists and cutting edge local designers including: Monster Muffin, Nervous Breakthrough, Playdead Cult and couture custom pieces from Toxic Vision.
‘Jeffree Star; the hot as hell androgynous fantasy, will shock everyone’s senses. The value of his performance will definitely keep the audience entertained, especially with Raquel Reed, go go dancer and pop princess by his side.
Toxic Vision is a breakthrough clothing label started from the ground up by Sharon Toxic. Working with clients around the world, designing custom gear for bands, and continuously growing, be prepared to see something unlike you have ever before.
‘Miss Mannequin’ will take place at The Foundation Night club in downtown Barrie. Aside from the all ages event there will be a VIP section and space for press.
