If asked, they will tell you their music influences range from Faithless, Stone Roses, Chemical Brothers to U2 and many more. Their fresh sounds and song writing style sound as amazing on record as it does in their exciting and memorable live performances.Their music and gigs that have a broad appeal making it easy for them to reach and touch a wide audience, this band knows how to make its mark and impress those who have never seen or maybe heard of them before. With this is in mind, perhaps it’s not hard to understand why their following is growing solidly all the time.Brothers, Jamie AFRO and Stevo come from a music background and have always written and performed music together, until deciding to form a band with long time friend and musician Anthony Reed.Jamie AFRO is the charismatic lead singer/frontman and guitar player with an amazing voice, distinctive look (his trademark HUGE Afro that has a following all of it’s own!) and massive stage presence, which makes him a rather unforgettable character. He has played guitar most of his life and his playing is largely influenced by great guitarist such as Jimi Hendrix, The Edge(U2), Nick McCabe(The Verve), and Mark Knopfler(Dire Straits) making Jamie’s style original but magnetic to the ear.As the drummer in the band, the first thing you are likely notice about Stevo’s playing is that he unusually drums standing up (well for quite a few songs anyway!). Besides this different approach to playing, his influences come from drummers like Larry Mullen Jr(U2), John Bonham(Led Zepplin) and Steward Copeland(The Police). Live or recorded, Stevo’s simplistic combination of Dance and Rock beats create a lot of energy, yet he always cleverly plays for the songs’ needs and feel. His occasional backing vocals compliment Jamie’s singing, and as brothers produces a great overall tone.Anthony Reed is the in charge of the groove. A bass player with a infectious passion and feel. His instrument holds mysterious powers over women! Like the others he has played music most of his life and loves to play live. His warm but full sound joins the sound of the band together. Although his general sound can change on certain songs his sound always goes through you. His occasional backing vocals are a welcome addition to the other vocals and he is sometimes running any additional sounds that they may use in live situations.Overall, this is a band with an amazing sound, songs, charisma and presence. You won’t fail to notice them and you will never, ever forget them. They connect with the people - and the people connect with them. And that is, after all, what music is all about.
