From its humble beginnings as a regional agency promoting turntablism and breaks in the fall of 1998, Contagious Musiq has evolved into something much bigger, building its outstanding reputation on numerous successful tours and promotions. Founder and President, Mihai Crisan, began with a small roster of just five artists. Mihai says, “It was just this little regional agency that was working hard to do some really promising things.” The word of that promise spread fast and today the Contagious Musiq roster has expanded to over 30 artists representing Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Break-Beat & Dub.Today, artists that work with Contagious Musiq perform at clubs, festivals, and other entertainment events in over 35 countries worldwide. The agency has collaborated with promoters from Brazil to Iceland, from Kuala Lumpur to Estonia supplying A-list artists at shows for as few as 500 people to as many as 50,000.Whats next? Contagious Musiq is here to make sure that all of their artists reach their ultimate potential. Mihai says, “Even people in the most remote parts of the world know our artists. The crowds are getting more hype every day, and this is just the beginning.” Mihai, along with Denise Melanson and Angel Candelaria continue to fuel the growth of electronic music.
