About Me

Hey cool! you can purchase these records that I play on:
I play weird organ, piano, bass and sing on this one.
I play organ, piano, and sing on that one.
I sing in the big pretty choir at the end of that one. Download link soon.I'm really nice. Don't be afraid to say hi.
I live at the Department of Safety, helping to run the venue among other things. I also work at The Business . I need a real job (i.e. one that will help me pay back my student loans).
Oh, I am running a recording studio here, and I will record your band for cheap.
I have thus far resisted the urge to relocate to major metropolitan areas, because I feel that making stuff happen in small towns is urgently important. I am mostly Christian, mostly sXe, and mostly vegetarian but it doesn't bother me if you are not any of those things. I have a lot of causes, I guess. In general, I am not afraid to be cheesy about them because I think they matter, but I also try to be self-aware about it and have a sense of humor about things. I am into trying to live more mindfully, more ethically. I am not always good at this.
I run a little record label called Charming Tedious (on hiatus but relaunching one of these days) I think everyone should have weird little creative projects. It makes life fun.
I think I want to start another band, maybe a loud rock band that i can sing weirdly in? If you live in my town I will play in your band. Unless you are a jerk. But I bet you're totally not a jerk, right?!?
I was a religion major in college, though I really spent most of my time running the college radio station and setting up all-ages shows. I also write about the nexus of culture, religion & politics for Urban Honking at http://urbanhonking.com/holymoly/

My Interests

I am interested in changing the world, and drinking fancy ginger ales.I am into independent music/art/film/culture not as an empty cultural signifier but as a tool to keep us aware and awake about the state of things, and a testing ground for community building and decentralization, a locus of resistance, a place where shared values are forged.I am interested in "health, personal growth, and positive living", to quote Jason Traeger. Feminism. Being roused from slumber.I am interested in your heart and what's in it.

I'd like to meet:

you. (unless you are a fake spam person who sends me 30 messages)
