About Me

Love Candy are undeniably Melbourne's next big uprising. The a`la mode relatively new quartet are on the way to bigger things, and in a nutshell, Love Candy are a very hot ticket to rock n roll.
Formed by compelling young frontwoman/songstress Liz Lane in 2004, Love Candy are categorically ready to explode onto the scene. Lane, a songstress since the age of 11, has been playing keys since the tender age of 2 years. Involved in musical theatre since 5, she's always remained a creative soul, having directed several productions by the age of 15.
Like many hard-working Australian acts, Love Candy have become exclusively dedicated to their music.
"Honing being the key", says Lane. "I'm a prime example of a perfectionist. I can't resist making everything dandy. I like it when things really shine"
But their addictive appeal doesn't just start and end with their catchy and upbeat tunes. Lane brings a memorable bang to the front of the stage and truly catches their audience's eye.
Love Candy's biggest ambition, according to their songstress? "To be zany enough to be remembered for more than our dress sense!"

As seen in this months JUICE Review
If there's one thing we like to see in a band it's thrill and excitement. Pure, unfettered, over-the-top giddiness. The antithesis to boring, lethargic "This pop lark ain't half a chore" losers.
There aren't too many bands who bring more enthusiasm to the table than Melbourne's hottest new band, Love Candy. "I love being in a band, I want to rattle the cages of complacency! I can't imagine me doing much else rather than playing music. If I wasn't in a band I don't know what I'd do!" yelps young singer-songwriter Lizzy Lane, her bandmate Simon Adler buzzing beside her. "Liz is a ball of energy, and when she hits the stage - look out scamps!" declares Adler, 19, Love Candy's bass player.
Their alignment of Vines-esque wonk-rock sensibilities with bass buoyant The Doors styled pomp, make them a band well worth getting excited over for the pure rock essence enthusiasts they are. You'll be hearing an awful lot more of Love Candy in due course... you're lucky, lucky ears!
