About Me

Here's me using my movements as raw material in an experiment in developing a new visual rhythm to the given music:.. width="425" height="350" ..-------------Here is a list of some of my favorite standup comedy routines. For some reason, I definitely feel closer to American humour than English humour. Who knows why. At any rate, there are some names here that definitely need representation as comedians, some of them are badly under represented in the UK. Richard Pryor, for example is mostly known in England as 'the black dude from Superman 3'. Steve Martin was an extraordinary standup comic in the 70s before he started doing movies. George Carlin would only be recognised in the UK as Rufus from Bill and Ted. Other names here are barely known at all in the UK, eg David Cross, Robert Schimmel, Mitch Hedberg, Bill Maher. Some of them I chose because it's established names before they got more famous. Edgy. I'm not holding my breath here but if this collection switches anyone who listens to it on to someone new then let me know, I'll be delighted...

Influences: Here is a compilation of compositions that I've heard over the past 6 years that really transformed the way I listen to music. Less a list of my 'all time favorites' (although most of them are) I wanted to get across the range of stuff that I'm into. It's basically a whole string of genres that I'm skimming over with one example for each. But some of them may be new to you. Have a listen! (Please note that for now tracks 1 and 2 don't seem to work so just start with track 3. *sigh*...)
