I have many interests, however, my main focus at this present time would have to be Anid! Oh, and inside jokes, yeah I love inside jokes. So for all involved with this one, all together now... ha ha!
I would like to meet pretty nerds! I love dorks! Yes, dorks on the inside that laugh at stupid, retarded things. Hey and if they snort while they laugh, uuummmm, that would be a bonus. Yes, dorks that snort while they laugh and have beautiful smiles. Oh, and they can have a nice bottom, I would not say no to that. Okay, so I would like to meet dorks that snort (when they laugh, not blow. I feel as if I must clarify, for the last girl I met on that "other" website was a damn hoover vacuum and not "friendly" at all. Snorting anything white and grainy.) So lets re-cap shall we? A dorky girl, that snorts while she laughs and jiggle while she walks, as she flashes her pearly whites at some funny stuff I just blurted out! Yes, that is it, thank you. Cheers(I am forced to edit this, for the 7th graders at my school have found me!!!! Go to bed you guys! This is grown person time!!!!)
Hmmm... music love it! Damien Rice is the shit, but now I feel ilke everyone has jumped on board. Damien, for like 6 months you were my little Irish secret in the purely heterosexual way. Ryan Adams! Yeah...Love is Hell, whatever volume you choose. D'Angelo, Jay-Z (but you can't quite retire yet bro, not with that shit), 90's R&B...BBD, New Edition, Bobby Brown (before he became the King Of R&B) Al B. Sure! ("Better Get Off On Your Own Girl"), Pete Yorn, Wallflowers, The Dixie Chicks (yeah, I'm black so what!), Mos Def (but more so in theory), old Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Diana Krall, Miles, Cole Porter, MJ (but like Thriller and Bad MJ, not to be confused with the Invincible, or even the Blood on the Dance Floor MJ). I love The Thrills, Elliot Smith, Cesaria Evora (ooooohhhh, Voz D'Amor). The Stokes are hot, Maroon 5, Gavin DeGraw, like everyone else I would be crazy if I didn't add Coldplay to the list. Finally, I must add Celine Dion's new french album to the list (I know that is mad corny but I love it and I bet you will too). There is a shit load of other music I could add like, Ben Folds, ooohhhh wait I must add RANDY NEWMAN, how could I forget Rand? I love that guy. Yes, I would like to end on that note! Randy Newman pretty much sums me up!
I love movies! The Rat Pack is one of my favorites, Talk To Her is cinema at its best if you ask me, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Out Of Sight (that is some sexy shit right there), The Godfathers (because I am a guy), Scareface (because I am a typical African American), Boiler Room (see above), Breakfast at Tiffanys (cuz I'm sensitive), The Shawshank Redemtpion, Friday and Friday After Next (I know that they are ignorant and demeaning to all, but there are moments when that shit makes me laugh), Immortal Beloved (ahhh, Ode to Joy), Pollack (I give, and I give, and I give), is it the hype or is Kill Bill a damn good ride? Lost of Translation, City of God (when can I buy that on DVD, bootleg anyone, ssshhhh), Dirty Pretty Things or is it Pretty Dirty Things? I don't know but it was a wonderful movie. It was a slow ass build but I loved Rosemary's Baby! And finally, I want to go out this a bang. I need that final movie, so when you read this you will be forced to say, "Ah yeah that movie was the shit!" So for now I will go with... Rushmore (although any Wes Anderson film is a pretty safe bet in my opinion).
My favorite past time, let me get the classics out of the way first. Catcher in the Rye, The Great Gatsby, you know all of that stuff that you read in high school that helped you forget about your acne and your lack of dates! Ummm...does that only pertain to me? I am a huge Roth fan, The Human Stain, The Dying Animal, great fiction. Jon McGregor's If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things, is ummm, remarkable. Really, what a great read! Michel Houellebecq might be one of my favorite modern writers, The Elementary Particles as well as Platform were earth shattering for me. I am a big fan of Jose Saramago. Zadie Smith's White Teeth was wonderful, the Autograph Man, yeah one didn't do it for me. But I still think she is talented as hell, and not too bad on the eyes either, may be she is on myspace! Camus and Kalfa, they pretty much sum up my undergrad reading lists, I love them, but not the happiest of folks.
My dad! He he, this is a hell of an inside joke! I am a bastard, in more ways than one! Although, I am a big fan of my mom. I am such a momma's boy it is riduculous. Anid, is my hero! Ummm...Martin Luther King Jr. "Right temporarily defeated is stronger than evil triumphant." And ain't that the truth? I mean that is a no brainer. I mean shit I am black, you got to put MLK on the list! If I say MLK then I must add Gandhi, the O.G. non-violent leader. Jimmy Walker, it must be hard to shuffle that much. Then there is Cuba Jr. the new Hollywood Shuffler and the occasional Will Smith, who has been known to dance from time to time. I am sounding a bit too militant here, lets get serious for a moment. Oh, Chrchill, he gave the most amazing speeches, "Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'" Yeah, I don't hear Dubba rocking shit like that! Of course I must add Kennedy and Clinton for pimping out the white house. Regardless of what anyone says, I do believe Clinton was a wonderful leader, and more concerned American than self centered politician. Folks he played the sax on Arsenio, that has to count for something! Mandela, great man. Must add Freud, without him, we would never know that we have the hots for our mothers! And aren't we all inspired by S-E-X? Jackie Robinson, who proved yet again how hard it is to be black. I am sure that I am forgeting someone great. Oh yes, my sister! She is one of my heroes. To know Leigh is to be a better person! Lets end on that note shall we?
