DTF MANAGEMENT/ENTERTAINMENT

About Me

Everything grows out of something and that is exactly how Droppin the Flava Entertainment/Management was created. Back in 1987 a group of friends lead by Mark Lebron formed a graffiti crew in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Regular weekend graffiti sprees and crew gatherings created a loyalty, respect, and friendship that illuminates in the DTF brand today. As graffiti is a cornerstone of hip-hop it was only natural for the crew to begin to turn to the music of hip hop, embrace it, and become a part of it. At the time close friend Mario Lopez was working for Sony/BMG as a talent scout. The duo decided to mix Lopez's already established position in the industry, his business sense, and contacts with Lebron's street sense, street cred and respect for the game to take DTF, the crew, to something bigger.DTF Entertainment/Management was created because these men saw a place for themselves in the world of Music. Wanting to venture out to other resources, DTF enlisted the services of Mel Carter to join the company as a third partner utilizing her past experiences with Violator Management and most recently involvement with one of the top four music groups to benefit DTF. Together the trio took a graffiti crew and turned it into what is today the premiere entertainment company in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.Researching and attaining advice from already established music professionals is all that DTF did for its first year; they wanted to know everything about the game before they began to knock down doors.Knocking down doors is exactly what they have done. Currently they work with a full staff providing services that include, A&R, marketing and promotions, CD duplication and printing, as well as in-house studio production. However, the primary focus of the company is on management's primarily hip-hop and R&B artists, producers, and DJ's. Bottom Line, DTF Management grew out of a group of friends and a respect for hip-hop. Mirroring the competitiveness hip-hop brings to the streets, DTF refuses to lose.DTF continues to attain new clients, grow their production division and put Williamsburg on the map once and for all. Look out for the Next DTF mix tapes hosted by Jimmy Swag and Dennis the Menace featuring DTF's very own GAGE and Rican Ric. For more information please utilize all information on our Contact Us page.
