Biography:
Hope Has Failed Us originally began as Short Life Crisis, but after a major change in line-up and direction, in mid spring of 2004, they decided to escape the once haunting shadows of their past for a new found light and freedom as Hope Has Failed Us. With this incredible new beginning came equally amazing new material that has hooked every listener from the very first song to the very last. With this realm of death, black and speed metal along with heavy undertones of thrash and hardcore, their sound is positively, melodically brutal. With topical lyrics ranging from heartbreak, betrayal and loss to their ultimate love of horror movies and the undead, you can't help but want to grab the microphone and scream along and if you're at even one of their stage shows, you will undoubtedly be given the chance to do just that! Nothing is off limits to HHFU and it shows in the diversity this band brings to the table.
Hope Has Failed Us always shows up with the most amazing of stage presences, like none other, every single time. Whether sick or injured or even playing the smallest of venues, it does not matter. They put everything they have out on the stage. Even if it's just for one person to see the show and walk away a fan, then it's all been incredibley worth it to them. They prove themselves time and again to be without boundaries and unafraid to do things differently from the rest. These guys are always ready to throw down, bringing their passionately energized music and lyrics as well as deep love for what they do best all transpiring to create an amazing show that you will surely never forget.
Not only is HHFU extremely unique in their sense of family and brotherhood, but they embody the the essense of old school punk rock bands when it comes to the intense mutual bond they have with every one of their fans, friends and fellow bands. When you are in the company of Hope Has Failed Us you not only FEEL like you have become part of a family, but you truly have!
With their first full length album titled Epitaphs and Eulogies recently released under Bombworks records on June 16, 2007 along with plans for a national tour, this Dallas Texas based metal band plans to be around for a long run and can only go up from here. I'm sure their fans would agree that we all are ready to see even more of what Hope Has Failed Us has to offer!
