DJ MIX-O-FLIX

Hip Hop is a hell of a drug!!!!!!!

About Me

Born and raised in Kansas City, MO., Mix-O-Flix initially got into DJing in the mid 80's in a pretty unique way. A kid named Teddy B (later to become Kiz-One) introduced him to DJing. Unlike some who were influenced through video's or movies, watching Teddy B made him decide that he wanted to learn the art of DJing. Mix-O-Flix would skip school and he would scratch and juggle records for hours. As the years went on, his career as a DJ started down the path of spinning at home to becoming a local respected DJ. Later Kiz-One and Mix-O-Flix started the underground DJ crew, the Vinyl Terrorist. The Vinyl Terrorists was a new movement of DJ's who were putting it down in new ways on the turntables. Being a member of this crew open doors for Mix-O-Flix to perform alongside all the local DJ's to some of the hottest DJ's in the entertainment industry. Kiz-One and Mix-O-Flix had a chance to show their skills with three hour mixshow on a local radio station, KKFI 90.1 FM. The dual went under the name of the Black Steel Bro's. Djing for KKFI prepeared him for the next level, he gain experience in the recording field as a DJ. At this stage in his career it truly helped him grow, and prepared him for many other opportunities. If you take into account all these influences, the experiences and growing up in the old school hip-hop culture, he has payied his dues. With this you can begin to piece together a really good understanding of Mix-O-Flix the DJ.
