This is so rad
This one is more of a classic rock genre, but the song is such a classic I wanted to include it.
There are many things going on here that make this clip entertaining besides the actual magnitude of the song itself. One, it's funny to see how they used to shoot videos back in the very early 80's, very static storyline type of treatments.
But what is funny is to see how ridiculous these guys look posing and miming for the camera,but what is important to remember is that these guys defined rock & roll. From the moment a homeless and bedraggled looking Mr.Richards come stumbling up to Mick on the front stoop, till the end when they start cock rocking in the corner, is a hilarious trip. I can only imagine how drugged up Keith and Ronnie are - elegantly wasted indeed! Anyway, have a look.
Here's a little ditty from the late 80's - a classic. Also poignant to contrast the raw charisma of the band with the curren 'Supernova' spectacle- although I enjoy watching, you realize these upstarts have a long way to go.
Here's one from a little band called Slade- anybody remember these glam rock pioneers? This is the original of the song later covered by Quiet Riot in the 80's. The over the top costumes were on purpose, they were intentionally poking fun at the overly pretentious progressive rock of the 70's.
