About Me

Semeneya was a dream that started many years ago in the heart of Lee Rios. Though the name derived from one of Lee's famous made up gibberish words, with the help of Betty Lastra it would later turn into the acronym which would be the basis of his dream (Salsa En Mi En Nuestro Epiritu Y Alma). His free spirit and determination is what has inspired and touched many people who have crossed his path. He unselfishly shared his dream with many and unconditionally included anyone who wanted to join him. Making each and everyone of them a part of what is now Semeneya. And finally, Semeneya Dance Studios, a moment very much anticipated is now accomplished. The grand opening was a very emotional moment! We had the honor and pleasure of being able to share it with many of our close friends from around the United States who joined us at the ceremony.Semeneya does not stop there! It has become a lifestyle and a way of thinking in the lives of many San Antononians. It is not only a love for music and dance in its entirety, but also a love for the people and the community who surround it. With his dream, Lee Rios has brought people of all kinds of walks of life together, sharing what many gran salseros have tried to instill:"Unity Through Salsa"I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
