Before The Wind

About Me

Pre-order the new album 'Before The Wind', released 01.05.2008. Paypal link below - if you don't use Paypal, send a message and we can work out an alternative payment method. The album contains 10 songs and comes packaged in a very beautiful case made from recycled cardboard.
Jordan Ogg was born close cliff edge in the Shetland Islands in 1982. Here he grew up among 96,473 amorous sheep, 4 angry ponies, 6 sheepish hens, and 1 sexually confused collie.
His debut album, Before The Wind is released on the 1st May 2008. Recorded live with only 1 vintage microphone, the album was completed in Jordan’s Edinburgh flat during 3 late night sessions in April. The result is a very intimate affair, with only Jordan, his guitar and some sprinkling of harmonica and piano on the 10 tracks.
Shying away from the conventional radio friendlyness, Before The Wind is a treasure-trove of lovingly crafted songs that conjure up tales of wishing wells; gothic romance; a fight between spring and summer; ghosts in the floorboards; and time travel back to the haze of 1970’s New York.
Now based in, and gigging regularly in Edinburgh and Glasgow, Jordan's musical career has so far marked many wonderful experiences, the most recent of which include a live session on Tom Morton’s BBC Radio Scotland show, and playing the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow.
