Hey everyone! My name is Michael O'Brien, and I run this site personally. I appreciate all your encouragement and comments as I am in the middle of branching out again and going solo. I have been with Newsong 7 years and have decided to leave and start doing my own thing again. This new music is in demo form and quite a departure from my early works. At this point, it is just piano vocals, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. My heart in all of this is to encourage couples to stay together and work through their differences. Marriage is not about happiness, but about commitment. Though I am very happy right now, it hasn't always been that way. 5 years ago, my wife and I were both miserable. But because of God's wonderful grace, I am here to say that if you open yourself up and are willing, he can accomplish miracles in your marriage. He did for us, and this music is a testimony to that. I know, of course, that it takes two willing hearts to work through problems. I can't tell you how many people I have met or that I know personally who wanted to stay together, but their significant other didn't want to work it out. So to those who just don't want to work it out, I would like to share a verse with you that has encouraged me in my times of despair and hopelessness........I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
