"All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity"
- Frederich Nietzsche -
Many artists have fascinations with a certain aspect of human nature. Jim Morrison had a fascination with death and wrote a lot of his poetry and lyrics about death. Such as the song The End. He was always intrigued about what would happen when death came about and lived his life on the edge of life and death. Kurt Cobain, he had an obsession with birth and just like Jim Morrison he would write about his fascinations into his lyrics. The most obvious evidence would be the cover of Nirvana's most famous album Nevermind. I personally have an interest in pain, and the weird affects pain can have. I personally believe I am a victim of a fractured mind, brought on by my social environment from my lifetime, but what has derived from this hopefully is a creative catharsis that’ll last a lifetime.
I find a lot of my inspirations from experiences I have been through. Some are from certain people that act as a muse. Others are just interests I have; such as astronomy, greek mythology, religion (or lack of), gothic fiction, conspiracy theories and general interest in psychology & human behaviour. I do try and incorporate the different aspects of these things in as much as possible in to my artwork, lyrics and of course my largest outlet, my poetry.
