Casey Sisters

Two Nights, Two Days, We're Gonna Play!

About Me

Being part of the Casey Sisters is a hell of a lot of fun, especially when buying Viking helmets in Norway, singing for supper on the streets of Spain, or being stranded in France on the street in the rain with our luggage and no place to go.We like to tour with foreign rockabilly musicians, preferably the young, talented, good-lookin', malleable ones. So far we've been reasonably successful. We're no Fitty-Cent, either, playing in stadiums and arenas. Pshaw. I'd like to see HIM chug a jug of homemade moonshine while fending off a shackful of drunken Swedish bikers. Nope, Casey Sisters aren't in it for the money; we're in it for the beer, cheese, chocolate, blind adoration, screaming fans, and photographs of historic cathedrals or castles, so we can send them home to our mommies so they won't have an inkling that their darling daughters have been hung-over for three weeks straight... width="425" height="350" ..

My Interests

Band Members: Li'l Rachel Casey--vocals
Caroline Casey--vocals, acoustic guitar
on CDs: Andreas Johansson--lead guitar, steel guitar Kalle Viktor--upright bass Boppin' Steve Jonasson--piano, rhythm guitar Robert Ronnefalk--drums
The Casey Sisters have also been proud to play with: Cave Catt Sammy, the Nu-Niles, and many amazing Austin musicians such as Dave Biller, Kevin Smith, Anthony Locke, Derek Peterson, Chaz Armstrong, Buck Johnson, Timmy Campbell, Lisa Pankratz, Brad Fordham, Tom Umberger, Chris Rhoades, Billy Horton, and on and on.
Influences: Mix equal parts Davis Sisters and Jerry Lee Lewis, add a good chug of Collins Kids, a pinch of Tennssee Ernie Ford, a splash of Big Mama Thornton, served on a bed of old Texas-style country and rockabilly, and you have a pretty tasty dish in the Casey Sisters.
Sounds Like: According to Jerry Chatabox (head honcho for Rockabilly Rave)....ummm, like the "Ranch Girls on speed?" Haha. Most people just say we sound like "Nothing they've heard before." Or, maybe the Collins Kids.
