About Me

Currently Instore's ________________________________________________________
I'm currently working with GZA, Ghostface, Masta Killa, and Inspectah Deck, and Raekwon on some of their projects. I also moderate GZA's and Ghost's pages at their request.
MY HISTORY / BIO
I hosted one of the NJ/PA’s premier Hip-Hop radio shows, the “RAW DEAL” on 103.3 FM WPRB, until 1992 with the help of DJ Kam, producer Tony D, and special guest’s such as DJ Jay Ski. The show broke local artist’s Poor Righteous Teachers, as well as always bringing the best new and then unheard underground Hip Hop national acts such as, Naughty by Nature, Black Sheep, Cypress Hill, Mobb Deep and many other’s, including of course being one of the first stations to play Wu-Tang Clan. The show always featured new music, and some of Hip Hop’s best MC’s as guest’s at times. In June of 91, my boy from Tommy Boy Records brought down Naughty by Nature, and a new artist called Prince Rakeem, who would later be known as the RZA, since I was rocking O.P.P. well before other local stations, and also had Rakeem’s “Deadly Venoms” in heavy rotation on the show. Rakeem and Naughty by Nature joined some of the Raw Deal crew in a 45 minute live on air freestyle session, in which I was impressed by RZA’s lyrical skill. RZA and I stayed in contact, and in the Winter of 91, he and some of his crew came down to a party I invited him to at Club Mahorne’s. RZA and I ended up sitting in a car while he played me beats and tracks that he had been working on for a group of MC’s he was calling Wu-Tang Clan. I knew right then, that RZA had the skills, crew and talent to change the HIP HOP industry. When RZA released “Protect Ya Neck” on Wu-Tang Records in 1992, I helped use my radio connections with trade publications, and DJ’s to help spread the word on Wu. I was soon fired from WPRB, so I moved to Philly and started promoting Wu-Tang Clan by handing out cassette’s, and stickers throughout the region. I also tried to help shop the group to a bunch of labels I had dealings with, only to see the negative response by A&R’s that were too short sighted to see the Hip Hop revolution that Wu was bringing.
When Wu-Tang was signed to LOUD Records, RZA helped me get put on the labels “ Street Team”. I soon was promoting such groups as The Alkaholik’s (my West Coast homies), Mobb Deep as well as Wu. I soon had other accounts for Tommy Boy, Sony, Def Jam, Epic, Gee Street, Wild Pitch, Geffen, Elektra, and many other’s for the Philly region. I later helped run the first Street Team for Wu-Tang Record’s that promoted Wu and other artists such as Sunz of Man. In 95 I left Philly to move to Staten Island to run National Street Promotions for RZA’s own Razor Sharp Record’s & Wu-Tang Records. I was involved with promotions for Ghostface’s “IRONMAN” album and promotional items used to promote the album. I ran a Street Team in 13 major markets across the Country for both labels. In 96, I contacted Fox Racing since many of the Wu artist’s (esp Method Man) liked the Fox mtn bike gloves I’d wear while riding my bike into the office. Fox soon started lacing us with gear and custom jerseys with the artists name on the back, and RZA later wore a whole Fox MX outfit in a Source Magazine shoot. Many other artists jumped on the Fox bandwagon, but don’t get it twisted…we were the first.
I left the label and NYC to move back to Philly, and later returned to doing promotions for many of the Labels that I had formally worked for. In 98 I started driving one of the Wu-Tang promotional vans, and covered the DE / MF / NJ / NY region. I left the music business to pursue other ventures, but would occasionally return to working with Wu and it’s artists from time to time. In 2002, I ran a promotional tent for Fox Racing at the X-Games. In Aug 05 RZA contacted me about returning to work with him doing promotions for the Wu Music Group he was trying to form. I was out on the road for most of the 06 Wu Reunion Tour. I also contacted MySpace in this time and helped get the fake Wu artist pages turned over to the artists (U-God and GZA already were on here).
I’m currently working on some projects with a few of the Wu artists, and will be becoming the host of “Skratch Makanik’s Radio” on Marley Marl’s “Future Flavas” Radio Show.

I like to keep my personal life just that...personal, if there's something that you'd like to know, you can ask.
I'm a straight up guy, I'm not into GAMES or people that play them ! I'm me, I'm not into being a "thug","playa","balla","gangsta","boss", etc. I speak my mind, and some people have issues with that. I don't follow the latest fads and trends in clothing etc. I'm picky about who I consider friends, and I appreciate my true friends

People who have NO clue glorify gangsta's and the ghetto when they've never had to be trapped in that lifestyle. Why do you think that the first thing rappers do when they "make it" is to move the fuck outta the Ghetto? Cause the Ghetto isn't glorious or fun to be in !!!!!!!!!! Suburbanites....next time you want to portray that you're "Gangsta" and throwing up gang signs and wearing bandana's over your face on your profile.....leave the your nice lil house, go to a City ghetto and try that shit....you'll see that shit's REAL!

just because someone’s the "ONE" for you, doesn’t always mean you’re the "ONE" for them

I guess this is the best advice I've had in awhile. I've realized true love isn't meant for everyone... some people are just destined to be alone, or eventually settle for less. Those that have it sh...
