I own and operate an art gallery, music rehearsal studio and small, very modest community center in rural Washington State. I opened my grandparent's home as a place where local music, art making, and storytelling traditions could be kept alive. Besides local artists who display work at my shop, I also paint, carve, draw, play the fiddle, Irish drum, guitar, piano, musical saw and native american hand drum. My family has a history of folk music in the Pacific Northwest. Besides playing music, both of my grandfathers were wood carvers and most of my uncles too. Much of the work displayed is derived from family art forms and local history. Puget Sound tribal artists and musicians occasionally join us on the weekends for cultural gatherings and rehearsals. "The Spotted Owl - Folk Arts Gallery" is a showcase of rural Northwestern folk and ethnic celebration. We're glad to support you as an artist or help to showcase your particular heritage or family art forms. Drop me a line at
