About Me

The following slideshow is regarding my upbringing, an abusive one at my mother's hand. Life is good nowadays though. I should mention, I'm a really super shy gal in RL. In writing though, I'm outgoing! :) Thankfully, myspace is all in writing...my kinda spot.It is (In reference to my blogs Who I am) a tribute to my DADDY, daughter and a character named Mason and I am happy to say a tribute to me done by my daughter:) Last but NOT least, MY FATHER! I am humbly adding to this list though that this be a tribute to children who face abuse in their lives, physical, emotional, the tiniest to the biggest things that hurt their heart. Please DO NOT give in to the bad feelings and thoughts, it CAN have a happy ending!! :)

"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages.".. -- Thomas Edison, inventor
Is this the most incredible thing? The internet connects and unites everyone from all around the world in ONE SPOT!
Thanks to a dear friend we have the first novel, Girl of Virtue? uploaded for reading right here
http://rachelromero.f2g.net/texts/Girl_of_Virtue.pdf .
Yes, I know it's not profitable, but if you read it, I'd like feedback and tell a friend about it, please. Enjoy it, the titles and covers really don't do justice, I've only had positive feedback thus far. They are also for sale on any of the bookstore online shops! Now if you can easily afford it, I would appreciate the purchase, most shops have it; but if you or someone you know needs the money for the more important things in life, it's yours :)

I should mention that I am not here seeking Mr. Right, just wishing to meet my readers, new folks and HAVING FUN. Contrary to common belief, alone does not equal lonely. I am quite content and complete with myself and even prefer it to being in a relationship. That's not to say I don't enjoy a date from time to time, just not a continuing...never-ending...date :p
I am a mother and an only child. My mother passed away August 13th. My daddy lives with my daughter, myself and our four critter friends.(Riley, Alex, Jinx and Hyde)
I adore critters and like to think I have a kind spirit. My objective in life is to do something positive for critters, children, abused women and the elders of our world. (The list goes on and on, but, I tend to write ENDLESSLY!)
We've had a bit of drama. Who hasn't? BUT, life is that never-ending adventure.
I love to play Chess and Pool and Risk, although I haven't played in ages. I spent alot of time with .. roleplaying games, (Played Heather Hestia on Povar and Xev with EverQuest, mage) Play Muds now mostly.
Generally use the name Windica or Kelica. Surname is always Ferox. (Heather was an exception) I'm normally on Acadia the Eternal Conquest, or The Gathering (Mud games) And for my friends that prefer to be anonymous, it's a great way to be social and keep your identity quiet :)
I am a smoker, and I refuse to apologize for it. I do try to be considerate and not impose my smoking on others. I find it rather rude when people try to impose their personal opinions on my lifestyle.
BR
My daughter is an inspiring person. She is also a miracle baby! I was one of those gals told by a doctor that it wasn't in the cards for me to have a child. HA!! Not only did I, but I got the best in the deck :)
Local folks may recall me as Polly, the nickname I had throughout school, due to my resemblence to a parrot...either talk too much, or not enough =P

My Interests

You scored as Angel. Angel: Angels are the guardians of all things, from the smallest ant to the tallest tree. They give inspiration, love, hope, and positive emotion. They live among humans without being seen. They are the good in all things, and if you feel alone, don't fear. They are always watching. Often times they merely stand by, whispering into the ears of those who feel lost. They would love nothing more then to reveal themselves, but in today's society, this would bring havoc and many unneeded questions. Give thanks to all things beautiful, for you are an Angel.

Your Theme Song is Beautiful Day by U2
"Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away"

You see the beauty in life, especially in ordinary everyday moments.
And if you're feeling down, even that seems a little beautiful too. What's Your Theme Song?

Music:

I enjoy songs that tell a story or evoke that 'good feeling'. My all-time fave song was Melissa's Manchester's "Don't Cry Outloud". Now, it's "The Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston!

I grew up in the 80s with the big hair bands, along with Duran Duran, and countless others. I have a wide range with music, I like heavy metal, yet also adore country.

Movies:

Walking Tall!! Majorly wonderful movie and based on a true story. It is inspiring that a man like that actually lived.

Recently saw ThunderHeart again and I adore that movie. I generally adore Disney movies, one of my favorite songs ever is from Sleeping Beauty, Once Upon a Dream.

On the funny side, I highly recommend The Island!

I absolutely love The Skeleton Key!

I enjoy the old movies with Sharon Tate, Katharine, Marilyn, Audrey, Cary Grant, and of course...Grace Kelly.

Normally, I will be attracted to a movie based on the cast.

Television:

I watch the Daily Buzz on WB every morning. Gilmore Girls is the one show my daughter and I have faithfully watched since it's first episode. Will miss it.

I like TV shows that are not reality based, after all I watch TV to escape reality...thus Science Fiction and shows along the line as Buffy, Supernatural, Angel, Dr. Who, SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Galactica, Bones, Dark Angel. I Also adore Alias and House, Psych and Monk, Cosby Show and the Dead Zone. The History channel is one I have on often, as well as VH1 Classics (80s music =P) and VH1 Country. Eureka is incredibly awesome.

Books:

The Eight by Kathrine Neville is on my top five list. I have read all of Anne Rice's stories and then the classics like Old Yeller, Black Beauty, Black Stallion, Animal Farm, Withering Heights, anything by Agatha Christie, hehehe yet again I could go on forever.

Heroes:

My father, Dwight Joseph Romero. My daughter, Jessica. Katharine Hephburn. Mahatma Gandhi. Ellen Degeneres. Steve Irwin. Princess Diana. Cleveland Amory. River Phoenix. Shainia Twain. Marilyn Monroe. Christopher Reeve. Whitney Houston.

I like folks that inspire and have overcome hardships to prevail. I admire those that work for the rewards they recieve as opposed to those that have everything handed to them.
