Life is too short to be wasted

About Me

I live in a small village in the north part of Sweden. I was born not far from where I live now and I moved here with my parents when I was 4 years old. When I was 12 my brother arrived. But we didn't grow up together as I went to live with my aunt while I was learning about building technology for 4 years in upper secondary school. And it also took me 4 years to find out that this was not what I wanted to work with. So I went to London instead!I lived in London between 1984-87. Me and my best friend Anna shared a squat in London Bridge. Never missed going to any 50's rockin' club such as Phoenix, Silks or upstairs at Electric Ballroom or any gig that was worth visiting or any good weekender or allnighter. Which means: "party all the time"...(I was young then). Since then I moved back to Sweden. I lived on the Swedish westcoast for 7 years before moving up north to my childhood village. I now live in my grandparents house just by a lake. I got 2 kids: a boy who is 10 years old and and a girl who is 12 (they live with me every second week), I got 3 cats and 2 guinea pigs. Its really beautiful here and I enjoy going for long walks in the woods. In the wintertime I enjoy cross skiing or skating on the lake (even though I keep falling over…) or do downhill skiing in one of the nearby ski slopes. It’s also fun to ride a snowmobile on the lake or in the woods.I've been trying out some different workplaces in my life such as carpentry, au-pair, cleaning, seamstress, graphic designer and wood-planter (I'm not sure if there is such a word in english, but now there is!). I now work with bookkeeping and wages and for some extra income I do healing and animal whispering.I try to visit my best friend Anna in London as often as I can, and I really enjoy meeting all old and new friends there. Or anywhere else in the world for that matter.Beetween working and travelling , I love to have a good drink with my friends. There's a lot of rock'n'roll/rockabilly gigs going on around here so there's almost always something good to do whenever I feel like it. I’m taking evening classes learning how to dance swing, wich is one of the best things I ever done. I really enjoy dancing! I'm also trying to learn how to jive, and I think I'm getting there. Me and my good friend ”Lasse” has just started a 50’s music association called ”Raw Rhythm Club”. Our plan is to arrange gigs, dance classes, day/weekend trips, film evenings and every second Sunday we’re meeting other swing-dancers just to practise and have fun. I also enjoy travelling, and as the kids grow up I'll hopefully be able to travel a bit more. Some places i'd like to visit is Northern Canada/ Alaska, Tibet, Australia and many more. And of course all the rockin’ festivals all around the world. Well, thats my background, and I let the future be what ever it's ment to be...Here's some pictures from High Rockabilly in Spain 2006. If you don't want your picture in MySpace, please let me know.
