Spectacular Apathy, my favorite activity. For me life is nothing more than a quick succession of busy nothings. OK, seriously, I have a vast plethora and profusion of interests. I adore spending quality time with my friends. I love to travel. I have a dark sense of fashion that reflects my acerbic and caustic personality. Every color... is a different shade of BLACK. I am addicted to working out and the gym and eating sweets. Seems I traded some vile vices for more socialy acceptable ones. I have a certain affinity for indie and foreign films. I love to read yet choose my favs off the New York Times Best Seller list yet I have read a ton of classical literature. I absolutely love to ride my Buell X-1 Lightning yet I do it rarely, partly because I need to blast my favorite of the moment CD while I drive. A strange Sabra fact; I love Radio Disney. I like going to Gallery Openings. I am trying to learn how to cook again (Thanks for the Rachel Rey Book Tyler!). I like extremes. I loath pretension except when it is me that is wearing the thin facade of haute couture (I am better than you guile) One of the things that brings me the most joy is Space Kitty on my lap purring while I watch Fight Club for the 300th time. I snowboard, Mt Bike, Dive, Bust crazy dance moves at the newest and coolest night club of the moment, give blood (Twelve Treats!!! This is an inside joke), volenteer... and seem to never find enough time for any of those pursuits. I love to explore. I try and live my life big and have adventures in all I do.
Gaius Julius Caesar one of the most influential men in world history. A towering figure of greatness. His Commentariii’s are a revelation. “All bad precedents begin as justifiable measures.â€
Jean-Paul Sartre who was a brilliant existentialist. His plays and books Being and Nothingness and Critique of Dialectical Reason changed the way I perceive things. “Life has no meaning the moment you loose the illusion of being eternal.â€
Charles Pierre Baudelaire, one of the most influential French poets of the nineteenth century. Les Fleurs du mal is a very cool book of poems a copy of which my dear friend Tammie procured for me. “Genius is childhood recalled at will.â€
Tenzin Gyatso AKA His Holieness the Dalai Lama. I saw him in Boston and was astounded by the pure sense of joy he eminated. The The Art of Happiness and An Open Heart are a view to reverie of the spirit.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.â€
I'd also like to meet Robert Oppenheimer, Edward Teller, Enrico Fermi, Niels Bohr, John Wheeler, Hans Bethe, John Van Vleck and I have to throw in Werner Heisenberg.
Of course I want to meet cool interesting people like YOU. People that live life big with passion and verve. People with acumen for cleverness and acuity score MENSA like points with me. I appreciate ebullient authentic behavior as well as iconoclastic displays of eccentricity. I welcome every one that has lived on the wild and reckless road of life. I disparage judgmental people that validate their self with misanthropic displays of vile vitriol. I have a strong affinity towards people who have an eloquent vocabulary.
I admire anyone with a grand plan in life. Anyone with aspiration that push the limit of possibility and plausibility. Kindness. Huge epic points for people that truly and deeply care about others. I have a special sphere of existence for every one that has Rockstar aspirations. I hope to meet people that know life is to be lived fully. There never has been a Hearse towing a U-Hall trailer to the grave. Life is a treasure of experiences and I hope to fill that chest up with moments that star you.
NIN!!! My favorite of all time...Closer is my all time favorite song.Hurt would be second. Frederic Chopin especially his nocturnes. They are just haunting. DJ Tomcraft because he knows how to do a great mix and live he can get a huge Ibiza Dance Floor to explode. BT, he is brilliant. A true composer that happens to do pop, techno, trance. Graham Edwards and The Matrix. The best song writers on the planet. I have seen dozens of operas at the War Memorial Theater in San Francisco (cosi fan tutti is my fave). OK I admit I love 80's music because I can't escape my past.
