Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, the home of good food and good jazz. If words where ever spoken at an early age, so was the gift of song. For this Louisiana Songbird has been singing from the time she started talking. The five-foot singer/songwriter has a "sassy-spit-fire personality" which has enabled her to accomplish many things in her life, such as serving her country for six years active duty Army, obtaining an associated degree in Business/Human resource Management, becoming a license cosmetologist, and a Make-up artist for CNN. But nothing moves this Aries like signing!
Dee got out of the Army in 1997. In 1998 she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where she work as a cosmetologist and a Make-Up Artist for Lancôme and M.A.C cosmetics. While living in North Carolina Dee was disappointed after run-ins with many mediocre producers who provided nothing but talk and empty promises. Dee sought after a producer who had the same love and passion for music as she. She met Corey "Cut†Taylor (Track-Heads), and the songs in her notebook where brought to life.
In 2004 Dee made the decision to move to Atlanta, Georgia, to make a name for herself. Atlanta is the place Dee now calls home. The singer says, “I've always known that I was made for greatness, I am not there yet, but when I get there my name will be all over it, in big bright lights, blessed by God"!
