My husband Lance (who is btw, the SEXIEST man on earth!), my kids, making jewelry, Captain Jack Sparrow, reading, writing, watching movies, watching and mocking BAD movies, learning to believe.

..
Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Carter, Jon Stewart. Dame Maggie Smith, Queen Elizabeth I, Jamie Lee Curtis, Carol Burnett. William H. Macy, Hank Azaria, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing. I'd like to be good enough friends with Eddie Izzard so we could just hang out sometimes; that would be fun.

I listen to a wide (and some think disturbing) array of music---Van Halen is and always will be the COOLEST band ever. Ever. Followed very closely by Goo Goo Dolls. I also love Andreas Vollenweider, Harry Chapin, Saint-Saens, Ozzy, Bruce Hornsby & the Range, Telemann, Al Stewart, Talking Heads, The Tubes, and Aerosmith. (Steven Tyler bought a dagger from us that my husband made. No lie!) I once bought Nine Inch Nails "Pretty Hate Machine" and Sugar Ray "14:59" both at the same time. And Howard Jones is God.
See?
My favorite Van Halen song:
Classic Van Halen--Oakland '81
More Oakland '81--FLAMING GONGS!!!!
One More of Eddie kickin' it:
One of my all time favorite songs:
There is some kind of magic in this song. Play it often:
Absolute Favorite Movie in the Whole Entire World? Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. 2nd Fave? Apollo 13, with Tom Hanks. After that, it's kind of like my music list---varied and colorful. Finding Nemo, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Zoolander, Firefly/Serenity, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Highlander, All of Me, Contact, Life is Beautiful (in Italian), Casablanca, Music and Lyrics (Hugh Grant can sing! Who'da thunk?), The Road to El Dorado, Hunt for Red October, Who's That Girl, Brigadoon, Snakes on a Plane, Dave, Holiday Inn (well, really anything Fred Astaire did), The 10th Kingdom, This is Spinal Tap...I could go on for a very long time here, but that would dilute the mystique I endeavor so hard to maintain....
Bleh. Not much that's worth my time. The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Lost, Boston Legal, House, Monk, Numb3rs, Psych, Scrubs.
Robert A. Heinlein is my favorite author. Most of his books are fabulous--entertaining, interesting, intelligent reading. I adore Jan Karon's whole Mitford series---her characters are rich, real and lovable. Sometimes I'd like to live in Mitford....Alan Dean Foster has written some doozies: Into the Out Of is one of the best creep-me-out books I've ever been creeped out by. Add Neil Gaiman into the mix--he's always good for a dose of twisted reality.
My husband, for loving me the way he does. My parents, Nan and Blair, who both showed me repeatedly what real courage is. My brother, for holding Daddy's hand and helping him pass beyond the veil. Outside my family? Jimmy Carter, John Glenn; Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chafee; the crews of the Challenger and Columbia space shuttles, Bono, Bill and Melinda Gates (for putting their money where it'll do some good). People who contribute whatever they can to make the world a better place. And anyone who stands up for what they know is right, no matter what the cost.
