P.B.A. was founded by Prolifik and Blizz, in late 2003, The two had formed an alliance after the success of their earlier collaborations. Both were eager to put Jersey back on the map. In 2004 the two enlisted a new member whose clever and direct lyrics made D- Molish the perfect addition to the P.B.A. movement. Now at three strong, the group prepared for their first mixtape release entitled "Money Makes Tha Motive".
After three months they had countless songs written and began preperation for the studio. During this time D-Molish was arrested and convicted of a crime that held no evidence against him, but due to his repuatation with local authorities, his innocence held no bearing. With D-Molish incarcerated, Prolifik and Blizz pushed the release date back in order to make up for the material that wasn't able to be recorded. This became one of the many obstacles on the path to completing their first mixtape.
This also became the theme of the song "D-Molish Tha System", which adressess the wrongfully accused and the injustice of the judicial system in this country. It took them about two months to finish a majority of the mixtape, which was now titled "The Common Suspects" in reference to the D-Molish's incarceration. With new ambitions to spread across Jersey and continue to expand new members would join the movement.
Now With the addition of Bangz, and Dub, P.B.A. caught the attention of different ears all over Jersey. After the mixtapes completion the group began promoting, and got exposure due to air time on 88.1 a local Asbury Park radio station. Big Poppa, the stations DJ, interviewed Prolifik and Blizz, who were the first rap artists to be featured on the show, as well as the entire station. The station recieved many calls about the featured song, "Glass Up". With the sucess of "Glass Up", P.B.A. began successfully selling the mixtape. P.B.A. continues to work on upcoming projects and will soon be heard on many college radio stations starting with Ruckus Radio on 88.7.This That Beaten Aggressively!
