It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice

About Me

"I originally wanted to be a male model, but it turns out I'm not very good looking, so that didn't work out. . ."
I was born and raised in Montana, and that's where my heart will always be. The Army has kept me away for the past four years, but I'm finally back. I'm athletic and love the outdoors. I'm really a simple man - it doesn't take much to keep me happy and takes a lot to make me angry. I guess that's the basics, but if you want to know anything more about me, feel free to ask.
"I may be passin' out on Friday night But come Sunday I'll be passing the collection plate"
"It is because they have so much to give and give it so lavishly. . .that men love the mountains and go back to them again and again" -- Sir Francis Younghusband
One reason the Military Services have trouble operating jointly is that they don't speak the same language. For example, if you told Navy personnel to "secure a building," they would turn off the lights and lock the doors. The Army would occupy the building so no one could enter. Marines would assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppressive fire and close combat. The Air Force, on the other hand, would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.

I'd like to meet:

anyone who can hold a decent conversation and/or is fun to hang out with. In the time I've been away from MT, most of my friends have moved away, so I'm looking to meet new people in the area. I love sports and all kinds of outdoor stuff, so anybody who has similar interests is a definite plus.

You have been marked on my profile map! Click to zoom-in.

My family, whose love and support has allowed me to make it to where I am today;

All the men & women of the armed forces deployed in harm's way, so far from their families & friends; I have the utmost respect for all of you: "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -- John Stewart Mill
