About Me

The band actually started out as an acoustic side-project between Nicholas Bruner and Justin Gagnon. We wrote our first song, "Silhouette" and soon after,we decided that we wanted to go electric. We chose Aaron Wolfcale for bass without hesitation and went through a couple of drummers before we decided on Jason Castro and had our first practice in early spring of 2004. When we first started Jason had just moved from the Philippines and actually only lived in the United States for about 9 months. He had been playing drums for about 8 years but had never own a drumset in his life. He was really hard to communicate with because he was very shy and didn't know much english. Justin had been playing guitar for about three years and Aaron had been playing bass about 2 and a half years. Nick had only been playing guitar for about a year. He had never sang before and just started out as a temporary vocalist. He also had never written lyrics before he started on "Silhouette". Although the band all came from very different influences (and countries) they brought there influences together and formed the band now known as "You Said Forever".
