I'm talking and I can't shut up!

About Me

Mercurial temperament, consistent liar, manipulative and passive aggressive. Homophilic city-dwelling nature queen, I generally prefer horseshit to bullshit. I am a negligent MySpace responder but thanks to all who message me anyway.

My Interests

Laughing, animals (esp. horses and dogs). Visual art, makeup, photography. Sewing, homemade creative anything. The Revolution in Horsemanship. Healthcare, medicine. MAO Magazine.

I'd like to meet:

Creative fools who enjoy a good laugh, even if it's at themselves. People who heighten my awareness, especially when I'm reluctant to. My future ex-husband, DVM. Humble geniuses who work well with animals. Almost anyone who will listen to me drone on and on ad nauseum.

Music:

ancient rock 50's-80's, Blondie, Bowie, Toilet Boys, Dolly Parton, Motown, Minnie Pearl, soundtracks, heartbeats... endless list, mostly in poor taste. I rely heavily on DJ friends to influence me, sad but true. At least I have that, :) .

Movies:

Hollywood Golden Era, Ma Vie En Rose, American Beauty, The Black Stallion, most Tim Burton and Ridley Scott, most Miyazaki. Etc.

Television:

Rarely watch, but in general - animal shows, Discovery channel, PBS, occasionally will get sucked into a series. The occasional YouTube OD is my version of TV. Animal training DVDs.

Books:

Card carrying Library whore, to list a random few...Augusten Burroughs, Tom Robbins, Jon Katz, Cookie Mueller, Janet Fitch, Wally Lamb...recent reads: "Paint It Black" (highly reccommend), "The Sociopath Next Door", "Teach Your Dog To Read" (seriously. Some assistance dogs have a 'pattern recognition' vocabulary of up to 100+ words and symbols); "The Mystic Garden", "Beauty", "The Joy Diet" (yes, self help-ish, but not as lame as it sounds); "The Revolution in Horsemanship", all Anthony Bourdain, James Herriott, Kathy Reichs...

Heroes:

People who are fearless enough to show vulnerability, those who can see beauty in anything and laugh a little even in the face of ugliness and pain. Underdogs and Unsung Heroes everywhere, People (other than sociopaths) who aren't afraid to talk about death, Robin Hood, Dolly Parton, Margaret Sanger, Lady Bunny, Martha Rogers, everyone at MAO Magazine...
