An original Georgia Peach, Tonia began her career as a model and actress before Atlanta became “Black†Hollywood. She started her career dancing in popular music videos and hosting parties as a promotional model at numerous celebrity events. Soon after, she began making appearances in magazines that include: Black Men’s magazine, Feds, Down, Thique, Jet
(featured as Jet Beauty of the Week), Rolling Out, HoodzDVD, Jezebel, Vibe, Images of Us, many appearances in Upscale, and (2) Book covers. The optic lens of the camera has her appearing in several independent films and local commercials, while at the same time gracing the stage of the most funny and outlandish stage plays, including: “The Life Story of Marvin Gayeâ€, “For Better or For Worseâ€, and (3) Nedra Simone Visions productions, entitled: “Secrets Men Keepâ€, “Voicesâ€, and the soon to be released controversial play, “A Dancer Storyâ€.But, it doesn’t end there. Tonia has been featured in several billboards across the metropolitan Atlanta area, as well as flyers, poster calendars, and dvd calendars, and you can best believe they were a sellout! Where else have you seen her, you might ask? Modeling for Ambi as a “Clean & Clear†model at the Megafest? The NBA All-Star Weekend events? The Magic Show in Vegas perhaps? Or possibly handing out an award to a celebrity at the most popular hip-hop award show in the southeast, “The Dirty Awardsâ€.Her drive for greatness has transcended the traditional "front-of-the-camera" ambitions so commonly found with many rising stars. Tonia has flexed her directorial muscles, already earning two production credits under her multimedia umbrella, MMedia Productions. In addition to those triumphs, her innovative advice column, "Dear Tonia," is currently building an impressive buzz on both the national and local levels.
