My Interests

Reading, crocheting (though I know very little), crafts, photography, scrapbooking. Newly into Iowa Hawkeye football. Big-time movie buff!!!Check out my book club group at http://groups.myspace.com/readerschoiceAnother great group for the ladies to check out: http://groups.myspace.com/anelegantgathering

I'd like to meet:

Mel Gibson. Anyone who knows me, knows that he is my heart-throb. Most of the people I would have loved to meet are dead and gone...Princess Diana, Gene Kelly, Jimmy Stewart, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. One I'd love to meet, because she just seems like a truly sweet person - very caring, Della Reese.

Music:

I like a wide variety of music. Most country - Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers and Alabama being my favorites! I like a lot of 60's, 70's & 80's rock, as well as a lot of older music from the likes of Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, etc.

Movies:

I am a HUGE movie buff!!!!! People I know always call me if they need to know a movie title or actor/actress. LOTR trilogy has become my all-time favorite thanks to my 16 year old stepson. I love 'em all, comedy, action, drama, mystery/suspense and fantasy (sci-fi). I love John Wayne movies, anything Jodie Foster, Mel Gibson, Liam Neeson, Sandra Bullock (the list is endless) has done are always a good bet!

Television:

CSI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also love NCIS, Without a Trace, Cold Case, anything on the History channel. Two and A Half Men is too funny. Love the Everybody Loves Raymond reruns. Actually cried when they took off Judging Amy. Excellent program ended too soon - same for Joan of Arcadia.

Books:

Anything by John Grisham, Richard North Patterson, Sandra Brown, Tess Gerritson, James Patterson and a few Stephen King (the Stand, the Shining). Love the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B Jenkins.

Heroes:

My grandpa Place, my mom, Harriet Tubman and Anne Frank.
