-5-MeO was quick to begin his affair with music early in life with the album "Breakdance" and praticed his popping and locking behind closed doors in his bedroom. By the time he reached high school, he was a multi instrumentalist playing everything from drums to guitar. In 1993 he attended his first rave and had an epiphany "I want to do this.", from there it was all down hill
Joining forces with the seminal "Galanta" crew on the east coast, he quickly learned the ropes of throwing underground parties from outlaw events to full scale warehouse raves, but just throwing the parties was not enough. "I wanted to make the music! I wanted to make the people dance!" He recalls. Learning to DJ under the guidance of Galanta's daddy, DJ Jack MF, he was romanced by the sounds of early breakbeat techno and 303 heavy acid house, eventually landing on house and techno as the sounds he would play, and even made his way onto the line-ups of a few big events. After a brief hiatus and a move to the west coast, 5-MeO reinvested in music and began flirting with underground events again, finally finding a home with the like minded Acid Totem crew.
Working the border line between techno and house, his sounds range from dark and minimal to tracky and saturated. On any given full moon, you can find him playing under the stars and sharing his life long obsession with music with the tribes of party people here, there and everywhere he can.
