Dee Kaye

The first of six children for the Fitzgerald family.While still yet a boy he emigrated to New York where he found a home amongst artists and musicians on the lower east side. In the late eighties he attended the Boston Conservatory of Music, studying theory and composition, he studied musical theory with modern composers Hugh Aitken, Joseph Kresky, & Donato Fortuno,. He moved to Los Angeles where he met up with an old New York buddie, bass player John Bond. It was there that they played in a variety of bands playing venues like the Shark Club, Tripps, Madame Wu's, the Whiskey, Rajis , before settling on the name Dee Kaye, in honour of punk pioneers, Dee Dee Ramone, & Lenny Kaye the Patti Smith bass player. They took their idea to New York and enlisted the help of veteren rock guitarist, Johnny Stiff, formally with Pshychotic Overdrive & Brendon Murphy, former drummer of the Alacazam Project. They met with producer , Abraham Murphy( Brendons brother} of Thuglimo Productions; at which point they started producing records at a feverish pace. Two albums are awaiting the final mastering touches and a third is almost completed Thank you all for listening ....... with love and thugliness.
