THE BRIGANTIES were an ancient tribe of Celts from northern Britain.
They are also a band from the north of England. They formed in late 2005 through a mutual love of soaring melodies and anthemic choruses.
Just three weeks later The Briganties booked themselves into
a recording studio where they recorded their first songs. Far from sounding rushed and haphazard, the songs were a clear indication of what was to come.
Since then, The Briganties have gone on to play to packed
audiences on both sides of the England/Scotland border as well as receiving
airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Newcastle and numerous internet radio
stations.
Now, armed with newly recorded songs, The Briganties are taking their music to a new audience. Tracks like "The Girl Heaven Sold To The World" and "Forever In Our Minds" are making people stand up and take notice.
For a band so recently formed, the sounds that are coming out of The Briganties are a sure fire indication of what is to come...
