Chewing, Playing with my Lite-Brite, Playing Music, Listening to music, learning about music and instruments, Avoiding drama and dramatic situations, Taking care of my lizards, Eating Vegetables, 'Hatin'.
Duke Ellington, Bertrand Russell, Sun-Ra, Miles Davis (before the weird coked-out shit, if possible), Lewis Black, Mitch Hedburg, My local grocer and/or produce specialist, Howard Stern, David Oistrakh, Roberto Diaz, Johannes Brahms, Dmitri Shostakovich, Gustav Mahler, Clara Schumann, Maxim Vengerov, Mstislav Rostropovich, Ralph Vaughan-Williams, Frederick Chopin, Jean Sibelius, Rob Crow, Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love so I could slap her, Robert Johnson, My next door neighbor, Your mother.
This would take way too long. Right now I'm into 31 Knots, Pinback, Cursive, The Beatles, SOAD, The Pixies, Beck (despite his Scientology - that was a soft slap in the face), anything by Chopin, Mingus, Duke Ellington, Mahler's 2nd, Shostakovich's 5th, Vaughan Williams's 7th, Tchaikovsky's 1st and his 'Souvenir Di Florence'. Death From Above 1979, Oh yeah, and MIGHTY FUCKING DEICIDE!!!!!!!
I dunno: The life Aquatic comes to mind, The Royal Tenebaums, Some old Buster Keaton Movie I think "The photographer" or something like that - Creature from the Haunted Sea (old, weeeeird shit - whoa), Sin City, Batman Begins, Napoleon Dynamite of course, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine, All the Evil Dead movies, 28 Days later, The Jerk, UHF, PCU, The Blob (the ten minutes I saw was good enough), The Big Lebowski (any Cohen Bros movie, really), Barfly is always good, Down By Law, Drugstore Cowboy, Farenheit 9/11, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, (Kinda dig Tim Burton)The Man Who Wasn't there, Super-Size Me, Oh - and the NeverEnding Story, of course. "But we don't even have time for a Racing Snail!"
I find Reebok commercials very inspiring. And that Dannon Frusion Guy. He's a nice young man with good projection. A modern-day televangelist. LIBBELAWW TIMAH!
Old Fredrick Marryat Books (read "Mr. Midshipman Easy" - you'll totally thank me), Chuck Palahniuk's Lullaby, Fight Club, and Haunted - Vonnegut never disappoints; I never finished "How to Win Friends and Influence People"; far too depressing. Harry Potter was much more entertaining. Um, I also enjoy weaving spiritual significance from old car and remote control manuals and charging a nominal fee for my findings under my pseudonym Miss Cleo, maybe you've seen my commercials. I dig Charles Bukowski, fucking loved Camus' The Stranger, Siddhartha of course, and countless other books that are way to underground and subversive for me to really even mention. You've probably never even heard of them, anyway. Unless you're like, as cool as I am...which you're NOT.
Jon Stewart and My first dog Jasper. I loved Jasper and he drowned himself because he saw through it all, you know? YOU know...you know. Jasper was named after Jasper T. Jowles from the Chuck E. Cheese band.
