Album- Everything Sucks
This solo was changed in the later recording of the song.. However despite the fact the recording is not as good.. I like the solo much better.
Ska is dead. Shortstop From Tokyo is alive.
Either one of those statements is untrue, or we are zombies. And even though we do smell a bit like rotting flesh after a particularly energetic show, I'm willing to bet some big bucks that ska isn't as dead as earlier proclaimed.
one hit wonder live at the night lit cafe
A good 3 1/2 years ago, Jeff and Kyle sat around in Math class, doodling and cheating on homework. Back then, Jeff was in a band by the name of Poor Boy. He asked Beth about helping his band by adding her saxophone to a ska song they had written. She was happy to do so, but unfortunately Poor Boy fell through. Realizing he had a sax player who was also willing to find a trombone player, he decided to buck the trend of "modern rock" and start a ska band. With Kyle, a willing guitar player, securely on board, Jeff grabbed his bass, and Beth brought in Ken on drums, and Shortstop from Tokyo was begun. After a short lived line-up of Beth on sax and David on trombone, they were replaced by a slew of horn players, resting on David F. on trumpet and Alex on Tenor. This 5-man ska outfit is armed with upstrokes and horn-hooks aplenty, a live show to die for, and an appreciation for anyone and everyone who had, has, and will help them in any way possible, and are ready to let everyone know that ska is far from dead.
