Ladies and gentlemen, The Vortex Union, in conjunction with The Trick Factory, just played host to Lance Dawes, Lance Mountain and Alex Olson. They were in town taking photos and working on the upcoming interview for SLAP Magazine. No injuries to report, other than El Vortex's ego, as the pie (or shall I say Boston Creme CAKE) ended up in the V's face. Mask smells like old milk again.
The Vortex is a living, breathing body of spirit that is inherent in all of us. It is the mission of the Vortex Union to unlock this potential energy and make it kinetic. With technology and e-business demystifying life more and more each day, it is time to bring it back to the streets… back to the people. We live in a society that breeds a notion that convenience will solve our woes. In this “McDonaldized†environment, we receive less and less interpersonal communication, yet we are told that our world is getting smaller and smaller and more user friendly. Our “leaders†are constantly pushing this notion that we are traveling faster into a new order of existence. This is far from true. The fact of the matter is that with each soul we lose to the computer legion, the great culmination of emotional energy that defines life becomes depleted. The truth is that right now, in this moment, things could not be more stagnant. Convenience and non-committal engagement reign. The Vortex Union seeks to smash this mode of operation by establishing direct, participatory instances of true emotional exchange that inspire, liberate and incite exponential delivery and transference of energy. By this, we achieve a tangible platform of justice that is blatant, engaging and so pungent that it will fill your lungs, eyes and stomach with bittersweet sweat from the small of our backs. It is a perpetual cycle of elegance. We encourage all individuals to find the voice within them that defines their person. Use your voice. Find your Vortex.
