About Me

New Song by the Anywheres - Randall
.. From Good Times' CD Review of The Anywheres: "Eschewing the area's typical, sad hair rock proclivities, Barile and company perform songs of personal observation and deep emotion, and use actual melody instead of relying on hot licks. The end result is as smooth and refreshing as the 60-degree days we've had lately. Make no mistake: The Anywheres are already better than some of the regional acts that signed to national indies of late. Hopefully, they'll slip this demo under the doors of some offices – we're waiting for the press release any second now. The Anywheres are not just any band; this is an band with a real future, performing real music." - Syl Nathan
The Anywheres are also available on ITunes! The Anywheres' self-titled debut album, to be released in December 2006, is a bold blend of catchy melodies, moody backdrops, and funky rhythms that is the culmination of two years of writing and evolving. Hailing from Long Island, Frank Barile (Vocals, Guitar), Tom Knabbe (bass), and Jimmy Abdale (drums) have cultivated their sound through incessant gigging in and around the New York area. Their adventures have taken them through some of the historic bars of Manhattan, the summertime backyard jams in the suburbs of Long Island, and have even led them to opening for Phantom Planet, of OC stardom. They've been compared to bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dashboard Confessional, but continue to forge a sound that is unique among today's vast array of genres. The Anywheres will continue their live adventures throughout 2007, so be sure to look for them near you.
