Pete Hunt Drumming

About Me

Brief History
Started playing the drums at the age of 16 as a result of being heavily influenced by the 80's rock and metal elite. After several years of playing covers with friends and local amateur bands, the hobby of playing the drums was taken over by a serious attitude to perform on a higher level, practising 3-4 hours a day became part of the daily schedule for quite some time, thus boosting my talent and confidence considerably.
By the early nineties I was gigging in Sydney and the surrounding areas with various bands on a semi-regular basis for two to three years and by the mid nineties as my talent and dedication grew I had hit the skins for some more considerably larger, professional bands.
Around the mid Nineties I started to learn to play the guitar solely for the purposes of song writing and by the latter end of that decade I had written, performed on and produced a self financed album recorded at various studios in Sydney, titled 'cement head' under the name of Geared 4.

After a generous amount of shows over the years and some decent studio sessions in my homeland, I decided to relocate to London U.K. in the late nineties in search of dedicated musicians/bands. The search put me behind the skins with some major up and coming London metal acts, including Dragonforce, then known as Dragonheart - (see recordings below), as well as Geared 4 which has been a brainchild of mine for sometime. So since 2000 and onwards the experience of countless gigging in London and all over the U.K., tour's of Europe and major recording sessions have proved to be invaluable to the confidence and showmanship of my drumming abilities.
I am now looking for the appropriate bands/musicians with which to further my career as a professional drummer. Any interested parties please feel free to contact me in regards to drumming vacancies.
