I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hello, boys & girls. I see that, somehow, some way, you've stumbled across the myspace of Dylan Reiter. My condolences.Anyway, I'm a bassist in the Kansas City area whose previous experience includes (but is not solely limited to): FOREVERNEVERCAME, as well as AN ANONYMOUS PROJECT, MEEP, ROISTER HARBINGER, EVER*GREEN, & HUMBLE. I currently play for LESLIE TRIPP, SONG OF ZION/JENNIFER LYNN SMITH, THE LEADING AVERAGE & KAREN MASON, but am always on the lookout for new opportunities.Feel free to drop me a line.(Oh yeah, & I guess I could always use some more friends, so you non-musicians can line-drop, as well..)

My Interests

Music:

.. width="425" height="350" ....I'd like to consider myself a musician, so music plays a rather significant role in my life. I'm an appreciator, so I listen to quite a few things, but my passions pretty much reside with indie rock, punk & hardcore/metal. Bands (in no particular order.. 'cept the first) are as follows..Hum, Quicksand, Sunny Day Real Estate, Failure, Tool, Meshuggah, Mudvayne, Spitalfield, Stemage, Braid, Hey Mercedes, Killswitch Engage, Open Hand, Jawbox, Burning Airlines, Helmet, Mae, A Wilhelm Scream, Primus, The Paper Chase, Dysrhythmia, Dillinger Escape Plan, Barkmarket, The Get Up Kids, Anberlin, Yesterdays Rising, Glassjaw, Sparta, Traindodge, Propagandhi, Reggie & The Full Effect, Molly McGuire, Refused, Strung Out, Mates Of State, Shiner, Houston, Coheed (but not Cambria), Funeral For A Friend, Beloved, Small Brown Bike, Emery, Deftones, Snapcase, The Casket Lottery, Faith No More, The Jealous Sound, Lifetime, Edgewater, Brand New, Breaking Benjamin, Glasseater, Zeppelin, A Perfect Circle, Poison The Well, The Urge, old STD, NOFX, Mercury Program.. I could go on forever..

Movies:

LOVE movies, & probably have far too many of them. still, here're some of the best..Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, The Crow, Way of the Gun, Battle Royale, Cube, Brick, Juno, Shadow of the Vampire, Donnie Darko, Memento, The Usual Suspects, Four Rooms, Cloverfield, Transformers: The Movie, Poolhall Junkies, Fight Club, Reservoir Dogs, American History X, Last of the Mohicans, The Evil Dead movies, Rounders, Equilibrium, L.A. Confidential, Ring/Ringu, Boondock Saints, Batman Begins, Frailty, Running Scared, Jacob's Ladder, Glengarry Glen Ross.. blahblahblah

Television:

I didn't really used to watch the idiot box all that much unless it somehow involved the Jayhawks, Chiefs or Royals, but I've been enlightened as to the fact that there actually are some fairly decent shows with which to waste my time: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Shield, The Office (US.. sorry, Brits; your version just ends up making me feel rather dirty. Hey, thanks for the Gervais-loan, though!), House, The Wire, Weeds, Lost, South Park, Six Feet Under (R.I.P.), Family Guy, Red Dwarf.

Books:

Wheel of Time series, Song of Ice & Fire series, The Power of Myth, Relic, Reliquary, Cabinet of Curiosities, Still Life with Crows, List of Seven, World War Z, Six Messiahs, White Noise, Haunted (Palahniuk), The Dark Tower series (or pretty much anything by Mr. King), Magician (Feist).... &, of course, no favorite book list would be complete w/o The Complete Idiot's Guide to Enhancing Self-Esteem.

Heroes:

Ryan Martinie, Les Claypool.. Really, this is pointless, b/c it'd just end up being an amazingly-huge list of musicians & other assorted creative-type people that i'll never get to meet.Ladies & gentlemen, the pity party starts.. NOW!
