"Music!!!" - Dr. Gonzo

About Me

Green Dolphin St. & The Chicken are from live shows with Kyoudi, Monday Night Jump is a Mini Q's tune, Take The A Train is from a gig with Rich Santucci & Bob Campbell at the Ritz in Philadelphia (that room has crazy reverb), Ricochet & The Torch were things I threw together using Logic Audio.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: This one
Band Members: I play with as many talented musicians as I can. Philadelphia has a lot of them. Check the upcoming shows for links to the bands I currently play with and my friends for musicians I have the pleasure of knowing (or wish I knew and were kind enough to add me). Some of the groups I work with...Big Ups to Natural Selection (my first band in Philly), Renaissance Orchestra, The Mini Q's, Kyoudi, The Chris Aschman Group, Dan Kauffman & The Educated Mess. I feel blessed every day when I wake up and think to myself "I'm a musician and making it work."
Influences: Everyone or no one...a few drops... Jazz: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Wayne Krantz, etc. Drum & Bass: 95-2000 covers most of what I like. Goldie, Ed Rush & Optical, Roni Size, Photek, etc. R&B: Jill Scott, Earth, Wind & Fire, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Bilal, Erykah Badu, etc.
Sounds Like: I need to practice...but here's a couple clips from a clinic Spanky did at Sam Ash with Eric Wortham, Derrick Hodge and yours truly. A few more clips can be found on youtube.
