About Me

I turned 24 last halloween, I'm a grad student in computer science at notre dame. I watch probably too many movies and anything that's in HD... I read pretty much anything interesting, though I tend to go on binges where I'll read most of the library of some author, get bored, move on to another author, and so forth. I'm a gambler at heart, I play poker and horse races, which are the two games that rely more on skill than luck (in my opinion anyway, and if you weren't after my opinion... well you're on an awfully funny website). I like cats better than dogs, which explains why I have 2. I'm sort of a strange person, if you had not guessed already... philosophically, I'm probably most connected to 4th way studies than anything else, and I'm not really religious in the traditional sense...

My Interests

Music:

leonard cohen, the doors, donovan... various other late 60s stuff, though I really like the 5 for fighting disc I have here

Movies:

Abyss
Apocalypse Now
Bulworth
Crime and Punishment in Suburbia
Dark City
eXistenZ
Fifth Element
Hard Eight
Highlander
Hudsucker Proxy
Joe Vs. the Volcano
La Femme Nikita
Lulu on the Bridge - this is a spectacular movie
Run Lola Run
Wisdom of Crocodiles
Abre Los Ojes

Television:

lost is about the only thing useful on TV right now, though I am constantly amazed at how much more interesting anything is once it's on HD. I like NCIS too, but mainly for the tech girl... I watch jeopardy and wheel of fortune (rigged!), various law and orders... Jag I can't stand anymore, same goes for all those insipid comedies... I do like scrubs and father of the pride, though scrubs is going downhill. I guess that's enough of my being in love with the sound of my own electric voice

My Blog
