Kat, born Shaquitta Gordon, got her start at 7, by singing in a gospel choir in atlanta, Ga. At age 11, she became a member of the R&B group, "U'Nique." She worked with artists such as Dave hollister who was a memeber of the group "Blackstreet". By age 16, Kat ventured out on her own as a Hip-Hop/R&B solo artist, connecting her to mentors such as "Jagged Edge" and also Brandon and bryan Casey's mother, Mrs. Linda Casey.
Since then, Kat is now signed with Twinn Productions. She has performed on UPN's "Urban Idol", as a guest soloist on Hot 107.9's Miss. Shaneka's talent show, and is currently hosting a video show call "XJAM TV;" just to name a few. Kat has also opened up for BHI "do it, do it", Gucci mane, Trina "The Diamond Princess", Rick Ross, Ginuwine, Sir Charles, D.J Smooth from 97.9 WIBB in Macon, Ga, and recently was a background singer for "Tamika Scott" of Xscape for her new hit single "Greatest Gift" from the "Daddy's Little Girl" soundtrack.
