How do you put music into genres? If you play from your heart you will be a product of your environment and influences. So, what influences me? I'm influenced by musicians that I enjoy, the weather, relationships, friends, and my own messy life. I enjoy the abstracts of Beck, the folk Bob Dylan, and the layered pop sound of Elliott Smith. You mix these influences with the weather and you get a swirling storm inside of my mind.I want to be honest without being obvious with lyrics. I may give you a new prespective on an old feeling or I may just state the obvious point being made. I'd like for everyone to come away liking my music, but I understand if you don't. It's for me anyways...
