I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a Los Angeles native who has a love/hate relationship with the city, though it remains among my favorites. (Others include Seattle, Rome, Montreal, and my new home: San Francisco.)I love brunch, especially when it takes place at lunchtime on Sunday. I learned to like beer after college (strange, I know). But, my favorite drink is a dirty vodka martini with lots of olives. I am a lightweight, so I rarely order it.I sing in the shower. I dance. I am dyslexic and I read (for pleasure) on a daily basis. I have a shameless obsession with watching Food TV, but rarely cooking anything. I don’t like chocolate, nor do I like lettuce.I am the oldest of three children who are spaced 10 years apart. I was raised by an interior designer and a psychologist, and I think that that says a lot about me.I’ve been told that I am an intense personality. And, while that is true, I know how to joke around and enjoy a mindless Friday night. I have very curly brown hair, which I consider to be a distinguishing feature. And, if pressed to describe my personal style, I would say it is that of a guys' girl turned girly girls' girl.I can be painfully candid and, perhaps, that is not helping my description along...

My Interests

incremental evolution and devolution, unwrapping the people about whom I care (slowly and steadily), only connecting, scoping out my new city, museum hopping, shopping, watching/talking about movies, watching/talking about TV, reading, people watching, spinning, practicing yoga, running, eating, traveling

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to link up with people who I've known in any of the many iterations of my life, as well as new, developed individuals with *spark*, active imaginations, and insatiable curiosities. For the sake of settling The Pact, I'd like to meet a public figure who will go to coffee or have a meal with me. Also: Mario Batali (bet he'd be cool), Dave Lieberman (have a crush on him), Philip Roth (in awe of him)

Some Thoughts on My Birthday

I didn't feel as though my 25th birthday would be a big one until Lisa pointed out that, as of today, I am a quarter of a century old.  Really, each and every year that passes is significant.&nbs...
