SHAKE YOUR PEACE!

Sing it as you please

About Me

SHAKE YOUR PEACE! is a folk band that tries to play music as much as possible and work jobs as little as possible. We make harmony onstage with guitar, fiddle, cello, drum, singing songs about all kinds of things, from kissing people, to war. Offstage we make harmony by riding our bikes and public transportation when we go on tour, powering the majority of our shows with a homemade pedal-powered PA system (the audience pedals), hosting our website with wind and solar power, and other things that you can read about on our website (www.ShakeYourPeace.com). In the spirit of keeping as many things as we can in their free and wild state, all of our songs are "Anti-Copyright/Pro-Stewardship," and we don't put prices on any of our merch - instead folks support us through ShareFare (pro-stewardship) donations if they feel moved to. As co-founders of the San Francisco Bicycle Music Festival (www.BicycleMusicFestival.com) SHAKE YOUR PEACE! wants to cultivate the biking-band paradigm, and dreams longingly of participating in Critical Mass-style Bicycle Music Festivals that roll across multiple states with 80,000 feral music fans, 50 strong willed bands, and the hugest modular pedal-powered PA scene ever conceived, taking over small towns, highways, and even freeways, putting on concerts in the far flung fields and scenic wild places. :::: Email us if you live in on the Pacific Coast between Vancouver BC and San Francisco (our upcoming tour route) and let's set a show up at your school, house, farm, or favorite cliff overlook... Thanks for reading the bio! Hope we get to ride with you soon...
